Speed Control DC Motor



The main aim of this project is to control the DC motor speed. Speed control can be done with the help of PWM pulse generation. Pulse can be driving the driver circuit of the DC motor.

Here embedded system PIC16F877A used a connecting medium. H ere four keys for ON, OFF and SPEED buttons. If we press these buttons, the corresponding PWM pulse can be generated in PIC controller. Then PIC controller provides respective control signal to motor. The status of the motor is also displayed in LCD screen. The speed can be calculated by Opto-coupler.

Heart of the PIC is the oscillator. Here we are connecting the 4MHZ crystal oscillator for the pulse generation. Operating voltage of the PIC is 5V DC that is given from power supply unit. This project is very useful in chemical and nuclear industries and numerically controlled machineries.
